I’ve been a big fan of Vincent Moon and La Blogotheque for their uniquely shot music videos as well as their work on The National‘s “A Skin, A Night.” Here are a couple of videos from them.
Phoenix – “1901” – Last Phoenix video this year, I promise. This is a beautifully shot video of the band playing in front of the Eiffel Tower as part of La Blogotheque’s Take Away Show series.
Fleet Foxes – “Blue Ridge Mountains” – According to the YouTube desription, “A friends friend let us into an abandoned wing of the Grand Palais. There were empty spaces, as if abandoned at short notice, unreasonably high ceilings. The perfect place for the Fleet Foxes.” The actual music starts at about 2:33 in the abandoned, high-ceilinged space.
Bon Iver – “Wolves (Act I & II)” – One of cooler parts of Bonnaroo 2009 was the audience singalong to this song at the end of Bon Iver‘s set, similar to this video. This Take Away Show looks to take place in a hotel room or apartment.
