I also did this last September, in two parts. This year, I only cleared about 2.57 GB off my hard drive (as opposed to almost 6 GB last year). Albums listed in no particular order, since I’m too lazy to alphabetize.

AC/DCBlack Ice – It was ok, but nothing I ever listen to

Calexico Carried to Dust – Southwestern-influenced indie rock, hasn’t really ever done anything for me

Bright EyesCassadaga – I’ve tried and tried, but I am not a Bright Eyes or Conor Oberst fan

Seu JorgeCru – An original album from the guy from The Life Aquatic who sang David Bowie songs in Portuguese; sort of interesting but its been at least 3 years since I’ve tried to listen to it

Kid CudiDat Kid from Cleveland – A free mixtape from Kid Cudi, don’t think I ever listened to it all the way through

A.C. NewmanGet Guilty – Though I generally like the A.C. Newman songs on New Pornographer albums, I just can’t get into his solo stuff

Lil Jon and the East Side BoysKings of Crunk – Hey, remember crunk? I barely do, either. Though I do believe I’ve had this album for at least 6 years, so its kind of sad to see it go.

The Civil WarsLive at Eddie’s Attic – A free download linked from Billy Reid, but its nothing-special bluegrass folk

Placebo Sleeping with Ghosts
Placebo Kills – I just don’t dig this band anymore

Beck Modern Guilt – Nothing of Beck‘s since Sea Change has done anything for me

Brightblack Morning LightMotion to Rejoin – Moments of it remind you of Spiritualized, but its too boring and droney

Gnarls BarkleyThe Odd Couple – Sophomore slump

Sunset RubdownRandom Spirit Lover – I just don’t like this dude’s voice all that much

Thieves Like UsReally Like to See You Again EP – Nothing on this was as good as their song “Drugs in My Body”

Land of TalkSome Are Lakes – Generic indie rock, may or may not be Broken Social Scene related

Sufjan StevensSongs for Christmas, Vol 8 – Not even sure if this is legit

Mercury RevStrange Attractor – Free, instrumental album from their site, don’t think I listened to more than one or two songs

Jorge BenA Tabua de Esmeralda – Spanish language music maybe?

The rest, grouped where similar:

The easiest to purge your iPod is to have it stolen like mine was. Then you’re left rebuilding everything from scratch. (I manually managed my music. Not anymore.)
