1. The Daytrippers (link)
Greg Mottola’s (director of Superbad) first feature that has a great cast including Stanley Tucci, Hope Davis, Liev Schrieber, and Parker Posey. It’s the story of a woman taking a roadtrip with her family into NYC to discover whether or not her husband is cheating on her. A funny, original indie from the mid-90’s whose aspect ratio has unfortunately not been preserved on DVD.

2. Civilization Revolution (link)
I always enjoyed the Age of Empires series on PC a few years back. The Civilization series is a contemporary of AOE, and this game was the first version built for consoles. It brings back memories of those days in high school logging onto the Microsoft Gaming Zone site and hosting AOE games.

3. Devil May Cry 4 (link)
Never played this series on Playstation and this is the first japanese hack-and-slash action game. It has beautiful graphics, huge boss battles, and great cinematics. Truly a great, immersive experience, although I can’t play for too long at a time because my fingers will start to hurt.

4. Bottle Rocket Criterion Collection Blu-ray (link)
FINALLY. I love especially the booklet, which reproduces the 75 year plan Dignan came up for himself and Anthony.

5. Fargo (link)
Not sure why it took me so long to finally see this movie, as I love the Coens and this is one of their highest achievements. I mean, I’ve even owned it on DVD for almost three years. In any case, I’d personally rank this as one of the top three or four Coen movies.
