– The tentative deal was applauded in L.A. and met with “mostly positive vibes” in New York

– Many TV showrunners returned to work today 

– Assumming the strike ends as expected on Tuesday, the WGA strike has cost Los Angeles 2 billion bones

– TV Guide’s, um guide to when your favorite TV shows will return including the following notables:

30 Rock
Expected to shoot 5 to 10 new episodes to air in April/May.

Dirty Sexy Money
No new episodes planned until fall; three remaining pre-strike episodes will undergo some tweaking and kick off fall run.

Friday Night Lights
No new episodes expected for this season. Future TBD.

Gossip Girl
Expected to shoot up to 9 new episodes to air in April/May/June.

How I Met Your Mother
Expected to shoot 5 to 7 new episodes to air in April/May.

Lost
Six pre-strike episodes remain. Six additional episodes could air this season.

October Road
Five pre-strike episodes remain. Future beyond that TBD.

The Office
Expected to shoot 5 to 10 new episodes to air in April/May.

So yeah… apparently I was dead wrong about not getting anymore new content this season. Good news for the viewer.

I’m sure you saw this, but just in case:

“For ABC’s Lost, “we’re looking at trying to make five more” episodes beyond the eight already completed, says executive producer Carlton Cuse. The original plan was to film 16, but the remaining three will be rolled into next season. Cuse says writers will “accelerate our storytelling” to get to the end point they had already mapped out for this season. “It’s a little bit like driving cross country to Boston. If the goal is to get there two days earlier, we will have to take more interstates and fewer rural byways.”

I had not seen that…thanks Eller. I never have a problem with Lost taking a few episodes to resolve plotlines since I trust them, but this might be good news to people who get frustrated with this show.
