EW analyzed both the film and tv picks. Apparently, Vulture didn’t do so well in their office Golden Globes picks.

My own reactions after the jump…

Atonement over No Country for Old Men for Best Motion Picture Drama? I haven’t seen There Will Be Blood yet, but surely Atonement isn’t better than both of them?

– It was probably a longshot, but it would have been nice to see Juno win Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy

– Good to see Javier Bardem win Best Supporting Actor for his great performance in No Country for Old Men

– Too Bad about the Coens not winning Best Director

– I’m just really glad Grey’s Anatomy didn’t win Best Series Drama, but still bummed Dexter wasn’t nominated

– Good to see Extras win Best Series Comedy and go out on top but I could have lived with 30 Rock winning; thankfully Entourage wasn’t rewarded for mediocrity

– Didn’t see Mad Men but still would have liked to see Michael C. Hall win Best Actor in a Drama Series for Dexter

– David Duchovny beats out Alec Baldwin, Steve Carrell and Ricky Gervais? I mean sure, Californication‘s nudity was awesome, but seriously?

– Glad Tina Fey won, but could have lived with Minnie Driver (The Riches) winning for Best Actress in a Comedy Series

– Though I’m bitter about Entourage‘s slide into mediocrity, I can’t fault Jeremy Piven winning Best Supporting Actor too much even if his performance has suffered a little alongside the show

It was funny when David Duchovny got punched in the face by the 16-year old he was railing in Californication…
