AFI’s Top Ten American Films of 2007 were chosen on Saturday, and here they are:

Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Into the Wild
Juno
Knocked Up
Michael Clayton
No Country for Old Men
Ratatouille
The Savages
There Will Be Blood

I’ve only seen Knocked Up, Ratatouille and No Country for Old Men so far, but plan to see Juno, There Will Be Blood, The Savages, Before the Devil Knows Your Dead and maybe Michael Clayton. Also, good to see Judd Apatow’s second movie in a row making the list – The 40 Year Old Virgin made it in 2005.

The Dark Knight official trailer is finally online

Lost returns on Thursday, 1/31 at 9pm, but only 8 episodes (out of the 16-episode season) were completed prior to the WGA strike

– Speaking of the WGA strike, the awesome Dexter might be coming to CBS (with several edits, I’m sure)

– The trailer for George Clooney’s next film, Leatherheads, which was filmed in and around Charlotte (via Pop Candy)

– …and finally, “Peace Out, Bonanza

Saw JUNO this weekend and loved it (my 2nd favorite movie this year behind NO COUNTRY). And I’ll definitely be catching THERE WILL BE BLOOD, although the script was pretty sub-par and one of my friends who went to the premiere said it was extremely disappointing (storywise). I hear DDL rocked it though.

Just finished the first season of DEXTER this weekend and LOVED it. I can’t wait to see the 2nd season.

Good to hear about Dexter. Luckily, the gamma foxtrot has Showtime on-demand, so I can catch up on Dexter season 2. I think the season finale was last night so I won’t have to wait like 8 months for the dvd to come out.
