Walk Hard
New Apatow-produced comedy with John C. Reilly, Kristen Wiig, Jenna Fischer, Tim Meadows, Jack Black, Jack White (as Elvis), and Paul Rudd (as John Lennon) among others. Trailer is a kind of a letdown, but I’m still excited to see the movie. John C. Reilly looks ridiculously awesome.

The King of Kong
Movie about the arcade video game rivalry between two Donkey Kong players is apparently a lot more intriguing than I just described.

Heima
Sigur Ros tour film taken from locations around Iceland. Looks amazing.

I read the script today for Walk Hard. I swear this movie was originally written with Will Ferrell in mind to star, but for whatever reason it didn’t work out. Obviously I can’t confirm that in any way, but it’s written VERY MUCH in the same vein as most of the characters we’ve seen Ferrell play over the last few years (for better or worse).

I actually liked the script… there are several really funny parts, but I think it’s ultimately gonna come down to whether or not John C. Reilly can pull it off. And as James Franco once said, “you don’t know what the fucking leading man does, alright? he comes in and fuckin’ knocks it out.”

VERY DIFFERENT than Knocked Up and 40YOV (as if i needed to say that). It actually felt like Apatow taking a stab at a spoof. Walk Hard is essentially taking Walk the Line and Ray and spoofing them simultaneously.
