My, they look so happy don’t they? Stereogum posted two tracks from this Chicago dream pop quartet recently, and I’ve been digging the hell out of them. Haunting, droney, kinda-slowcore-but-slightly-sunnier instrumentation with whispery female vocals courtesy of lead singer Marie-Claire Balabanian. Their self-produced album Summer Above is available via Burnt Brown Sounds (instructions for ordering located on their MySpace page). I highly recommend the self-titled track from that album, available for download below (courtesy of Stereogum) or streaming from the player on the Stereogum site.
